Queenie is a remarkable Siamese mix who has overcome significant challenges to become the regal feline she is today. She was found as a stray, blind, and disoriented. She was taken to our local shelter, Pima Animal Care Center, where she quickly won my heart.
Remarkably, she regained her vision early in the treatment process. While the staff at PACC took care of her medical needs, we started a fundraiser for her treatment costs. Thanks to the kindness of our dear friends at @poetssquarecats and their supporters, her campaign was fully funded within a mere two weeks. Queenie underwent a challenging 16-week treatment and fought tirelessly to overcome FIP.
Finally My Forever Home Rescue took Queenie under their wing, and she's now residing at El Jefe Cat Lounge in Tucson, AZ. Queenie is eagerly awaiting her forever person. She is a stunning 4-5-year-old feline, spayed, and up to date on all her vaccines. She has no lingering health concerns and has received a clean bill of health from her vet.
She is a true queen, with a regal presence that commands attention. Once she's comfortable, her charming personality makes it hard to resist her. While she can be selective about the feline company she keeps, she seems to enjoy the company of female companions and may even prefer the company of a well-behaved dog.
Please note that Queenie will need time to decompress in a new home, just as she has in the lounge. She's now more social and accepting of company than when she first arrived.
If you're looking for a feline companion who embodies grace, strength, and resilience, look no further than Queenie. She may have had a difficult start in life, but she's ready to reign supreme in her forever home.
